About this project
This bathroom remodel project in Cypress, TX 77429 started after another contractor walked away from the job because the scope became more complex than expected. The homeowner wanted a complete transformation with a cleaner layout, updated finishes, and a more functional bathroom that felt modern without losing practicality for everyday use.
One of the biggest parts of this remodel was the demolition and removal of a large custom Roman-style bathtub. These tubs are typically built into a raised framed platform with multiple layers of framing, mortar, plumbing access, tile work, and surrounding finish materials. Removing them is far more involved than a standard tub replacement because the structure is often integrated directly into the floor system and surrounding walls. After demolition, the bathroom was rebuilt from the ground up with a more updated and efficient layout.
Before construction moved forward, we created a SketchUp visual design so the homeowner could clearly see the proposed bathroom layout, material combinations, and overall finish direction. We believe projects move smoother when homeowners can visualize the final result before installation begins. That planning process helped avoid surprises and gave the customer confidence moving into construction.
The finished bathroom features updated tile work, modern fixtures, custom finish details, improved lighting, and a much cleaner overall appearance.
